WHAT THE BOOK IS ABOUT:
Naji and the Mystery of the Dig provides a window into the life of children in the Middle East, and is a delightful journey into Middle Eastern cuisine, culture, folklore, history, geography, and children’s games.
WHY I WROTE IT:
I believe when we learn about people and cultures that are different from us, we discover new possibilities. It is easy to be afraid of people who are different and people we don’t understand. I wrote this book to help children who are not familiar with Middle Eastern and Muslim cultures to feel connected, and along with Muslim and Middle Eastern children, enjoy an engaging story.
