Dear Readers: If you’re a parent, you know how difficult it is to find quality Islamic books for children. Author and illustrator Ahmad Philips is working to fulfill this vital need. Read on as he tells you about his new graphic novel for young Muslims.

As always, please show your support to Muslim writers by reading their books and telling others about the ones you like.

NAME OF BOOK:

The Muslims: A Graphic Novel

AUTHOR NAME & WEBSITE:

Ahmad Philips – The Muslims Comic

WHAT THE BOOK IS ABOUT:

The Muslims is about two kids, Hani and Huda, and the lessons they learn through everyday life. It’s told in a fun comic format. Each chapter tackles different moral issues such as lying, sharing, being grateful, and much more. Join Hani and Huda as they learn different aspects of Islam through their own life experiences.

WHY I WROTE IT:

I wrote and illustrated The Muslims: A Graphic Novel because Muslim kids need a halal alternative. And it shouldn’t be boring or preachy. Instead it should be fun and entertaining with a moral message attached.

I decided to write the book after the amazing reaction I received to my animated cartoon by the same name: The Muslims Cartoon.

WHERE TO BUY IT:

Amazon.com

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Ahmad Philips was raised in Michigan. He graduated in animation with the dream of making Muslim animated cartoons for kids. He’s traveled around the world to places such as Qatar, Dubai, Malaysia, Jamaica, Oman, and Saudi Arabia. Currently he works as a teacher in an Islamic School.
