Q&A: Communication with the Opposite Sex

I have a question about editing that I hope you can help me answer. I have been offered 2 jobs editing articles for male writers/journalists. I am female. My husband is concerned that it is haram (prohibited by Islamic law) to communicate with the authors via email for business reasons. Do you have any information for or against this? I was under the impression that editing is a good job for a Muslimah because you can do it from home. Thank you.
